COSTA RICA WHITE WATER RAFTING – Sarapiqui River Class II and III – Parcuare River Class III and IV

Costa Rica white water rafting tours range from Class I through IV. Whether you ride the rapids or take a leisurely cruise downstream, Costa Rica white water rafting presents a rare view of the rain forests and wildlife in this tropical paradise.

Rapids run from moderate to fast and challenging, so you can float down Rio Coribici and see some of the 300 bird species and other wildlife, or go for a wild adventure on the raging Rio Pacuare. The Pacuare has been named one of the top 10 river trips in the world by National Geographic. The rainforests that surround the river are breathtaking and they are home to exotic species such as jaguars, monkeys, ocelots, and a very large number of birds.

The towns of La Fortuna, Turrialba and Sarapiqui are the key staging points on Rios Pacuare, Revantazon, Coribici and Sarapiqui.

Quepos outfitters run trips to the Naranjo and Parrita. Kayaks do the Sarapiqu, and sea kayaking is available on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts.

You can take one-day trips from San Jose to most of the top rivers, and over night trips may also be arranged.

Full day rafting trips star at US$95.00 per person with breakfast and a delicious lunch included. All safety equipment and instruction, expert river guide and pick-up at your hotel in Costa Rica.
