The tour will take you along the famous Pan-American highway heading towards the town of Alajuela, passing by the Agricultural Monument of Juan Santa Maria and the famous Mango’s Park. As we begin to ascend towards the volcano, we will make a quick stop at a plantation for a brief explanation about the growing and processing of Costa Rican coffee.

Our ascent then continues passing through fern, flower and strawberry farms.

At the top of the volcano, you will spend some time observing the main, blue green crater and the informative museum. Next is the tour at the famous La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a Nature Park where we will walk through spectacular trails next to a series of waterfalls leading to the Magia Blanca Falls.

Along the trail you will walk through the country’s largest enclosed butterfly observatory, as well as the enchanting hummingbird garden, where a wide variety of birds gather to feed.

After the tour, a delicious buffet lunch awaits you, overlooking the lush green rainforest.

Once lunch is finished, we head back towards San Jose.
